Draft Cordova Bay Local Area Plan – Open Houses Now Scheduled!
UPCOMING IN-PERSON OPEN HOUSES
A series of in-person open houses have been scheduled to provide an opportunity for the public to learn about, and provide feedback on, the Draft Cordova Bay Local Area Plan. The open houses are being organized in keeping with COVID-19 protocols and will be held:GREEK ORTHODOX HALL
4648 Elk Lake Drive, SaanichTuesday, October 6 10 am to 8 pm Wednesday, October 7 10 am to 8 pm Thursday, October 8 10 am to 8 pm These in-person open houses follow a virtual open house which was launched in July. The Draft Plan has been developed with input from the community to manage land use and guide change in Cordova Bay over the next 20 to 30 years.
REGISTER ONLINE
In order to maintain safe numbers at the open house and follow COVID guidelines, you are asked to register using Saanich Recreation’s online registration system. You will be registering to attend during a one-hour time slot – a maximum of 10 people can attend during any one-hour period.
Here’s how (please read carefully!):
- Go to RecOnline
- Log in or create a new account
- Search by using keyword “Cordova Bay”
- Select the day and time you wish to attend
- Finish your registration
- Agree to the online waiver
- Proceed to “check out”
DROP-IN ATTENDANCE
Drop-in attendance is permitted, however we will not be able to allow more than 10 people during a one-hour session. If you wish to drop-in, come to the venue and check with staff to see if there is space for you to attend.UPON ARRIVAL
When you arrive at the open house, please follow the direction of staff. Maintain a 2 m distance from other participants and use the hand sanitizer provided. Face coverings are encouraged – please bring your own. You may need to queue before entering the building, so please be patient! If you have any mobility issues or otherwise need help, please let us know. QUESTIONS?
