Cordova Bay Association for Community Affairs, BARA, and the Falaise Community Association, are sponsoring a virtual all-candidates’ meeting (September 16th) for the four major federal candidates to answer questions from our Association members.

The meeting will not be “open”, rather the recording of the meeting will be made public via Community Association websites on the day following the event. Candidates of the major parties will be participating (i.e. Conservative, Green, Liberal and NDP), but candidates of “fringe” parties have not been invited. (Usual criteria to be included: seats in parliament OR evidence of polling support above the 5-10% range nationally and/or in the riding OR past electoral support >5%).

The CBA welcomes any questions you might have for these candidates no later than Tuesday, September 14. Please e-mail your questions to the CBA Events Chair, Perry Fanthorpe, at perry@happyhomesvictoria.com

    Here are some guidelines:

    1. Questions should be addressed to all candidates (do not ask a question that applies only to one candidate).

    2.  If you submit more than one question, clearly indicate which question has priority (in case we are only able to ask one of your questions).

    3. We will give slightly higher priority to “short answer” questions which may be responded to with a simple “yes/no” or with no more than 4-6 words, as it is possible to ask more of them in the allotted time period.

    4. We will not identify the name of the person asking the question.  If, however, you would like to be identified, please indicate this in your submission.

    5. Although we will do our best to retain the exact wording, we reserve the right to make slight changes if this helps to clarify the question.  If two or more people ask the same or a similar question, we will combine these into a single question.

Check the Cordova Bay Association website at www.cbasn.com
after September 17 for this informative all-candidates’ video.
