Road Safety Action Plan Needs Your Input!
More Road Safety Action Plan input options are now available – March 8, 2024 *** UPDATE ***
Saanich is developing a Road Safety Action Plan (RSAP) and is holding several pop-up
engagement events. A local opportunity is on Monday March 11th, at the Commonwealth
Pool, from 4 -7 pm. Learn about it there and you will still have time for input until March 31st.See the draft report at www.saanich.ca/EN/main/community/getting-around/road-safety-action-
plan.htmlHave a look at how well (or not) the needs of the Cordova Bay’s vulnerable road users are met
in the draft RSAP document. Please provide your input into Saanich’s draft Road Safety Action Plan (RSAP). We
need to make sure Saanich is aware of Cordova Bay’s concerns related to safety on our
major roads and residential streets. The RSAP will guide road safety improvements for the next 10 years and will allow
Saanich to measure progress towards their goal of eliminating traffic fatalities and
serious injuries on Saanich roads. The draft RSAP is located at
www.saanich.ca/EN/main/community/getting-around/road-safety-action-plan.html
Also at this site is a short survey that should only take 5 minutes
to complete. If you would like to provide written comments on the draft plan you can email them
directly to engineering@saanich.caFinally, there will be “pop-up” events for in-person input at the following locations:
Tillicum Mall on Tuesday March 5 at 2-5pm
Uptown on Saturday March 16 at 12-3pmSaanich is also considering another public input session at the Commonwealth Pool.
Dates and details to be determined. Stay tuned. We will advise once we have more
information. Please provide your input so that safety along the roads in Cordova Bay are
appropriately considered in the final versions of the Road Safety Action Plan.Thank you.
