Save The Dates – CBA Annual General Meeting and Cordova Bay Day

The 2019 AGM will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 7:00 pm at the Cordova Bay United Church. The community meeting will begin with remarks by Saanich Mayor Fred Haynes. After Mayor Haynes, the AGM begins with reports from the President, as well as Finance, Planning and Transportation committee chairs with time for questions. Following committee reports will be the election of new directors. Five positions are open for election or re-election on the Board of Directors for a two-year term. All existing 5 board members are willing to stand for another term. Any nominees wishing to run for election must firstly be a member in good standing of the Cordova Bay Association for Community Affairs. Nominations may also be made from the floor of the Annual General Meeting by any two members in good standing provided that nominees are members of the CBA and state their willingness to stand for election.  See poster here.

Please contact Barb Lucas, Nominations Chair at bglucas53@gmail.com if you are interested in being nominated to the Board, or to present nominees for the Board of Directors of the Cordova Bay Association for Community Affairs.

Mark your calendar now for Cordova Bay Day 2019 on Saturday, June 22nd from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Help make Cordova Bay Day the best ever!

Over the past 15 years many of our board members and CBA members have done a wonderful job organizing this great community day, celebrating the beginning of Summer here in Cordova Bay. We are certain that many of you have attended our venues at St. David’s Church, Mattick’s Farm, Cordova Bay Golf Course, The Plaza, and Cordova Bay Elementary School.

    Get involved!
This year we are reaching out to the community seeking interested individuals or groups who may be interested in helping or perhaps to even head up the organization of this event. The CBA is open to creative ideas and fresh thoughts, but most importantly to provide a day of fun and community spirit here in Cordova Bay.

We are looking forward to your input. Please reply to cbamail@shaw.ca

    Warm regards,
    The Board of Directors
