Cordova Bay Association Priorities for 2017

The format of this report differs from previous reports to reflect the fact that we have had little success in solving individual problems in recent years because the municipality ranks our problems at a much lower level than those of other areas in Saanich. However, with the advent of the various development projects scheduled for Cordova Bay, we have the opportunity to bundle a number of projects under one umbrella and to fund them as part of the private development.

Here are the major umbrellas and the specific projects we want to see completed in tandem with the private development.

Safe access to the Pat Bay Highway between Haliburton and Sayward

    Project #:         1, 15 and 16

Completion of the Cordova Bay streetscape from Mattick’s along Fowler and Sayward to the highway

    Project #:         2

Improve the safety along Cordova Bay Road from Haliburton to Cordova Bay elementary school.

    Project #:         5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14

Resolve the conflicts between motorist, residents, cyclists and pedestrians along Lochside Drive and Sunnymeade.

    Project #: 3, 4 and 17
