Join the 2025 CBACA Board of Directors
At this year’s AGM on Wednesday April 30, 2025, we are looking to elect, or re-elect, 6 board positions, each for a two-year term.
One board member is standing for re-election, and 5 are to be elected from the membership. Our strong, committed core of experienced board members welcomes enquiries from any interested community member.
About the CBACA Board of Directors
Each of our 11 elected members is tasked, usually based on interest, with areas to chair or be responsible for.
Our current standing committees are Planning, Transportation & Parks, Community Engagement, Membership, and Public Relations and Advertising.
Other board responsibilities include serving as President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, SCAN (Saanich Community Association Network) Representative, and website liaison (a board member, with IT experience preferably, to liaise with our community volunteer who updates the website).
The time required for these tasks, in addition to attending Board meetings, varies depending on what’s happening in our community.
CBACA Board Meetings
We meet the second Wednesday of every month, September to June, at 7 pm at the Cordova Bay 55+ studio at Cordova Bay elementary school. Meetings last from 1 1/2 to 2 hours, and board members can join via Google Meets if they cannot attend in person.
We circulate committee reports prior to each board meeting, along with our timed agenda, to keep meetings at a manageable length.
A rolling 12 months of board meeting minutes are posted on our website.
PLEASE CONSIDER LENDING YOUR SUPPORT FOR OUR COMMUNITY BY PUTTING YOUR NAME FORWARD FOR A BOARD POSITION.
Nominations can be made in advance to any member of the Nominations Committee:
