CBACA Update: New Board Member Announcement & Volunteer Opportunities
On behalf of the CBACA Board of Directors, I am very pleased to introduce Cordova Bay residents to our newest board member – Bren Moroz-Pettyjohn.
Bren contacted us to offer her expertise in Social Media, answering our call for help in this priority area as, this September, we expand our visibility and accessibility in the community through Facebook and Instagram. Bren was appointed to the Board in May 2026 and will be up for formal election at CBACA’s Annual General Meeting in April 2027.
Looking Ahead: Opportunities to Get Involved
Cordova Bay is filled with community-minded residents. On that note, the Board could still use help in the areas of Planning, Parks & Environment, and in External Liaison.
We have moved to having a Land Use standing committee, made up of these three positions on the board:
- Transportation & Mobility (currently chaired by board member Dave Chater);
- Planning (vacant); and Parks & Environment (vacant);
- The External Liaison Chair would manage the Board’s outreach to local organizations;
It is an interesting time in Cordova Bay, so if you have some experience, or a keen interest, in any of these areas and would like to be part of a very strong team, contact me anytime at president@cbaca.ca to learn more.
