PROPOSED CORDOVA BAY LOCAL AREA PLAN TENTATIVELY GOING TO COUNCIL AUGUST 23, 2021

PROPOSED PLAN TO GO TO COUNCIL

Following referral to Council Advisory Committees, the Proposed Cordova Bay Local Area Plan is tentatively scheduled to be considered by Council at Committee of the Whole on August 23, 2021.

REFERRAL TO COUNCIL COMMITTEES

The Proposed Plan was presented to Council at the Committee of the Whole meeting on March 8, 2021. As directed by Council, staff have now completed referrals of the Proposed Plan to the following Council Advisory Committees:

• Mayor’s Standing Committee on Housing Affordability and Supply;
• Active Transportation;
• Parks, Trails and Recreation;
• Arts, Culture and Heritage;
• Healthy Saanich;
• Environment and Natural Areas; and,
• Planning, Transportation and Economic Development.

These Council Advisory Committees have supported the Proposed Plan overall, and a number of minor changes have been made based on their recommendations. The Proposed Plan
has been amended to reflect these changes.
