**Cancelled** New Date Set with Saanich Council for Badminton Expansion in Cordova Bay

**UPDATE** – The District of Saanich advised on Feb. 10 that the special committee of the whole meeting of Saanich council scheduled for Feb. 18 has been cancelled at the request of the rezoning applicant, Cordova Bay Community Club.
The District of Saanich has set a special committee of the whole meeting for Saturday Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. in the Garth Homer Centre, 813 Darwin Avenue, to consider an expansion request from the Cordova Bay Community Club.
Council’s committee of the whole was to consider the club’s request to rezone the property on Sutcliffe Road last December but too many people – for and against the proposal – showed up at the council chamber.
The club wants to add a new four-court badminton building adjacent to its three-court building that was built in the 1950s.
HERE is the Saanich Planning report.
Saanich News covered the CBCC expansion plan last December, complete with some history on the hall. You’ll find that HERE.
